Empowering young Nigerians with skills and confidence to shape their futures
The All4Youth Nigeria 5-Day Vocational Skills Training, held from August 11–15, 2025 in Jos, Plateau State, marked another milestone in empowering young Nigerians with the skills and confidence to shape their futures.
Hosted at Kingdom Citizen School and implemented by Whitefield Foundation with sponsorship from the Alliance for Youth Nigeria, the training brought together hundreds of young people eager to learn, grow, and unlock new opportunities.
Participants were trained across two main tracks:
The goal was simple yet powerful: equip youth with practical, income-generating skills to help them thrive in today's competitive job market.
To ensure inclusivity and maximum reach, publicity campaigns spanned:
This multi-channel approach resulted in 4,855 registrations, with 1,062 shortlisted after electronic screening.
The training recorded 593 certified participants—almost 200% of the original target—with 14 outstanding trainees receiving startup toolkits for exceptional participation, punctuality, and commitment.
A notable highlight was the active involvement of physically challenged participants, including a deaf trainee and wheelchair users, who joined with the support of interpreters and special mobility arrangements. This strengthened the call for more inclusive empowerment programs across Nigeria.
Learning didn't stop at the end of the training sessions. Participants were added to dedicated WhatsApp groups for ongoing mentorship, resource sharing, and networking. Facilitators continue to engage trainees weeks after the event, ensuring sustained impact and growth.
The closing ceremony featured Mr. Shakiru, Chairman of Alliance for Youth Nigeria & Regional HR for Nestlé West Africa, alongside representatives from Jobberman and UN Global Compact Network Nigeria. Their presence underscored the critical role of partnerships in creating lasting solutions for youth empowerment.
As the All4Youth initiative grows, so does its vision: to reach more young people, equip them with transformative skills, and open doors to entrepreneurship, employment, and self-reliance.
With every training, the message grows stronger: empowering youth means empowering communities, economies, and futures.
