In 2025, Whitefield Foundation advanced its mission of eradicating poverty through education and empowerment by delivering high-impact interventions across skills development, education support, and community relief. From equipping young people with practical digital and vocational skills, to upgrading school learning environments, to supporting vulnerable families during the “Season of Giving,” our 2025 activities were centered on opportunity, dignity, and sustainable impact.

1) Skills Development & Digital Empowerment

All4Youth Nigeria 5‑Day Vocational Skills Training (Jos, Plateau State)

From August 11–15, 2025, Whitefield Foundation implemented the All4Youth Nigeria 5‑Day Vocational Skills Training at Kingdom Citizen School, Jos, sponsored by Alliance for Youth Nigeria. The training model combined foundational digital readiness with hands-on vocational instruction.

Training focus

  • General courses: Artificial Intelligence (AI) Basics & Prompt Engineering; Digital Literacy & Online Safety
  • Specialized tracks: Solar Panel Installation; Beauty (Makeup & Gele Tying); Video Editing (with Social Media Management); Web Development (with Introduction to Digital Marketing)

Participation and reach

  • Applications: 4,855 (July 23–Aug 8)
  • Qualified applicants: 2,414
  • Shortlisted: 1,062
  • Target: 300 | Completed: 593 (over 60% female)

Inclusion A strong highlight of the 2025 training was inclusive participation—deaf trainees attended with interpreters, and physically challenged trainees participated actively.

Post-training support & recognition Participants were added to learning communities for continued engagement, with facilitators committing to 90 days of follow-up. To encourage excellence and self-reliance, 14 outstanding participants received toolkits (Beauty 5; Solar 4; Video 3; Web 2).

 

Tech Hub 2.0 (8‑week digital skills program)

In 2025, Whitefield Foundation also delivered Tech Hub 2.0, an 8‑week learning series designed to strengthen digital capabilities among undergraduates. The program engaged over 200 undergraduates, running 4 hours per week, with training sessions including:

  • Artificial Intelligence — “The What and How”
  • Video Editing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Digital Marketing
  • Web Development

To promote excellence, an outstanding student was recognized and rewarded with a laptop to support continued learning and productivity.


 

2) Education Support: Library Development, Renovation & Book Supply (Lagos State)

To strengthen learning outcomes and improve access to quality education resources, Whitefield Foundation implemented a Library Development, Renovation & Book Supply Project in Lagos State, sponsored by Infobip.org through Infobip Nigeria Ltd, with a formal handover on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Beneficiary schools

  1. Ladilak Institute Primary School, Sabo, Yaba (Nursery–Primary 6)
    • Student population: 148
  2. Wesley Girls Senior Secondary School, Yaba (SS1–SS3)
    • Student population: 386

Total direct student beneficiaries: 534
(Indirect beneficiaries include teachers, librarians, administrators, and future student cohorts.)

What the project delivered

  • Improved library infrastructure: new/expanded shelving, refurbishment, and library rules/guidelines signage to support sustainability.
  • Book supply & learning materials: curriculum-aligned textbooks and reading materials across classes and key subject areas (Primary and SSCE-focused resources).
  • Additional school support (Primary school): teaching aids for nursery classes, exercise books for pupils, and school bags presented to prefects to encourage leadership.

Career guidance & mentorship As part of the handover engagement, students also benefited from a career guidance session featuring young role models and mentors, reinforcing not only academic readiness but also inspiration and direction.



3) Community Relief: Season of Giving 2025 (Lagos Mainland)

Whitefield Foundation successfully delivered the Season of Giving 2025 outreach on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 4 Birrel Avenue (Opposite Yaba Magistrate Court), Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, within the shared premises of St. Agnes Nursery & Primary School, St. Patrick’s Primary School, and St. Dominic’s Primary School (public primary schools).

Program highlights

  • Educational support: 200 pupils received exercise books and Season of Giving–branded school bags, easing pressure on families and improving learning readiness.
  • Food support: 200 low-income families received family food sacks designed to feed a household of five for up to one month (including items such as garri, rice, vegetable oil, milk sachets, chocolate drink sachets, tomato purée sachets, and more).

Season of Giving 2025 achieved its objective of impacting over 1,000 disadvantaged individuals through educational and food support across the Lagos Mainland community.
