Our Mission

Since her establishment in 2003, Whitefield Foundation has been at the forefront of providing empowerment, educational and entrepreneurial training to thousands of young adults in Lagos, Nigeria.

In the past 15 years of our existence, we have specifically trained over 5, 000 secondary school leavers and graduates in different skill acquisition programs.

We have empowered over 2,000 women directly and 20,000 indirectly through our skill empowerment trainings.

Our ‘Feed A Family Project’ has also provided food relief to over 1,500 families in Lagos, Nigeria.

Entrepreneurial Training

We hold Financial Intelligence training to bridge the poverty gap under the codename: ‘Secret Book of Wealth Series’. And Youth Skill Empowerment projects tagged ‘Change Summits’ have been holding every year since 2011

Poverty Alleviation

In the last 3 years, we have executed a skill acquisition training in Makoko, a poor suburb of Yaba where three hundred participants were trained in plumbing, electrical and computer appreciation skills.

Educational Development

Free JAMB/UTME Tutorials, Information Technology Trainings & Scholarship Schemes.

– Between 2008 and 2015, we ran several Jamb Tutorial classes to bridge the knowledge gap for aspiring but indigent undergraduates.

Human Development

Human Development Collaboration with other NGOs, corporations, government agencies, and well-meaning individuals to provide leadership resources.

Our Vision

Our vision is to train 1 million young adults between the ages of 18-35yrs by 2023. The strategy is to train one at a time with a mandate that he/she, in turn, trains five others within six (6) to nine (9) months of completing her training. To achieve this, each empowered trainee will be equipped with the necessary tools and platform to practice her acquired skill.

Our Model

Needs Assessment

We identify opportunities and gaps in the economy that needs to be supported and developed. We carefully study the terrain with the eyes on the future and aggregate underprivileged young adults to access these opportunities.

Tailored Solutions

We equip disempowered young adults with economically viable skills that will lead them to becoming empowered. As of Mid-2019, over 3,500 undergraduates and graduates have been directly empowered.

Mentorship

We provide networking and mentoring support to help trainees find their foot in the socio-economic terrain. Be it starting a business or securing employment, belonging to a network of top practitioners, peers and like minds can only inspire success.

Let’s work together!
